So it finally arrives!  After months of cold winter training evenings, the weather started to clear and the National League opens with its first event in sunny (well some of the time) Cardiff.  Execalibre turned out bright and early with a contingent of 15, and with the aid ..... more -->

The time had come for our second League Event of the season. The boat, and our paddlers were transported up the relatively short drive to Bristol ready for another day of racing and hopefully even a trophy or two… Alas this was not to be, but we did come mighty close. more -->

So here it was: our home event. A day when we should be putting out our best crew and sweeping away all who dare to stand before our might! Well that might be a slightly over-dramatic start to an Execalibre Race Report, but to say that the day went well would not be a lie, and to say that it went totally to plan would be a lie!
The 200m, as always, started the proceedings. Our U18 crew, Exmouth Community College Dragons, and ourselves were in heats 1 and 6 respectively. More -->

Here’s an interesting question to ask yourself, a riddle, to get your mind thinking right at the beginning of the report. How can a crew turn up with only 17 paddlers of their own, no helm or drummer, stay in a rubbish hotel, beat Batchworth Dragons, be the fastest crew in the plate at 100m, get into the Cup in 200m, and yet STILL after all this come away with no trophies?!
