I knew I forgot something!
Please see the message below from Ali. In particular the club would be interested to know if anyone is interested in representing the club in the requested feed back on participation in the GB teams.

Hi

We’re currently looking ahead to the next round of GB training weekends and are exploring possible venues. If your club has access to a suitable location – or you know of somewhere that might work – we’d love to hear from you.

Ideally, we’re looking for venues that have:

  * an indoor space where around 30–50 people can gather with seating
  *   enough toilets for everyone
  *   enough car parking
  *   changing rooms + showers
  * a projector screen or blank wall that can be used for presentations
  * at least basic kitchen facilities

There is some flexibility on these requirements, so even if your venue doesn’t tick every box, please do still get in touch. If you can help, please email gb.manager at thebda.org.uk.

We’re also interested in talking to clubs about how paddlers are recommended for GB, what the required standards are, and what the barriers might be to doing so. If your club would like to be part of that discussion, please email gb.manager at thebda.org.uk. We’ll then look to coordinate a call with everyone who’s interested.

Many thanks

Christine Cosgrove
Team GB Manager
