[Team at ExeCalibre] The Nationals - immediate action please.

Morning All

Despite our best efforts it sadly it looks like we're not going to be
able to go to the Nationals as a composite crew with Rage.

We have been in contact with Worcester and Bristol and unfortunately
both have their own crews: Worcester has a full 22 mixed crew with no
spares; Bristol also has a full mixed crew and a full women's S14 crew.

However, Bristol are looking for 5 or 6 men for both their open and S14
men's crews so Pete, Jason, Russ or any other male Exe-Calibite, if you
are interested please let me know as soon as possible, thanks.

See you with a paddle on the boat soon!

Hayley

Hello All

Thank you to those of you who have indicated your availability for the
Nationals with a 1 or 0.

We currently do not have enough people signed up to make a composite
crew with Rage as they only have 6 possibly 7 members going.  In order
to be able to go we need at least another 4, ideally another 6..

Please do check your diaries again and if you haven;t already done so
please put a defiinite 0 or 1 against your name on the race
spreadsheet.

Many thanks

Hayley

Subject: The Nationals

Hello All

Two weeks ago (where did that time go?!) seven Execalbre members enjoyed
racing in London, again as a composite crew with Raging Dragons.

In four weeks time (21st and 22nd September) we have another opportunity
to race with them, this time at the Nationals.  For those of you who
have not attended this event before, there is plenty of racing over two
days at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.

We currently have eleven people signed up for each day but it would be
great if more Exe-Calibites could join us.  If you're not one of the
eleven please check your diaries/calendars and if you haven't already
done so put a 0 or 1 against your name on the Race Events spreadsheet by
this coming Monday evening so that we can start to make plans with Rage,
thanks.

Keeeep paddling!

Hayley

Hello All

Seven club members enjoyed a sunny, packed day of racing yesterday at
Nottingham. It was great to be back at a league event!

As a composite mixed crew we locked in together more as the day
progressed and improved our times.  The 2.8km was a particularly
exciting race with quite a lot of boats overtaking each other, both on
the turns and the straights; great turns courtesy of our helm and
Jason's hanging draws; and plenty of choppy water!

Raging Dragons made us feel very welcome and are looking forward to
racing as a composite crew with us again in London, which is now, just
less than two weeks away! So don't miss the opportunity to join us!

We currently have six people signed up for London but there are a few
question marks and still lots of blanks. Please could you confirm
whether you intend to race in London or not by putting a 1 or 0 on the
race spreadsheet by tomorrow evening, thank you. If you are one of the
six can you let me know personally by tomorrow evening that you are
still able to race, thanks.

Finally, thank you to those of you who helped us prepare for Nottingham
by coming along to training.  If you're not away, are available, and
able to come along please do so again over the next couple of weeks in
the lead up to London.  You all contribute to our team effort. Thank
you.

See you with a paddle, in the sun (we hope) at training!

Subject: Training leading up to Nottingham Race Event

Hi All

Following my email below and Lauren's email this evening please note
that we have just five club training sessions before the Nottingham race
event on the 28th.  Please do sign up and come along to the sessions
over the next couple of weeks if you possibly can, even if you're not
going to Nottingham - it's a team effort!

For those of you racing please do arrange lifts and accommodation as
necessary. I will send details of times etc as soon as they're
available.

Many thanks

Hayley

Subject: Nottingham Race Event - please action

Hello All

We are definitely "all systems go" for the Nottingham BDA
League Event on 28th July. Yay!

Rage have 13 and we have 9 people signed up.

Victor (from Rage) asked us for the following details: names, preferred
sides, weights and BDA numbers. With Jason's help I have provided him
with preferred sides and approximate weights but would be grateful if
the following people could send me their accurate weight along with
their BDA number, as soon as possible:
Glynn, Gary, Laura, Deb, Russ, Pete, and Clare

Many thanks

See you soon

Hayley

Hello All

We still currently have 8 people signed up for Nottingham, 6 for London
and 11 for both days of the Nationals.

I have been in contact with Peter Li  and with their numbers we are very
close to being able to enter all three events as a composite crew with
Rage. Just a few more members signing up will make all the difference so
if you haven't already indicated your availability with a 1 or 0 please
do so as soon as possible for all three events. In my email below I had
stated that the cut off date for Nottingham would be the 30th June but
as I'm out of the country from the 29th please could you do so by this
Friday, thank you.

Happy paddling!

Subject: Race Events - Please action

Hi All

Is is just me or are the weeks whizzing by?!

Manvers BDA League Event is on 14th July,  just over a month away.   We
currently have 3 people signed up for it.  Please could you indicate
your availability with a 1 or 0 by this Sunday, thanks.

A reminder that this year we are asking people to have signed up for the
BDA events by 4 weeks prior to the event therefore the cut off dates for
the remaining events are as follows:

Race Event Venue            Race Date
 Sign--up Deadline
Manvers                             14th July
    16th June
Nottingham                         28th July
 30th June
London                               11th August
 14th July
Nationals at Nottingham     21st & 22nd September       23rd August

It would be really helpful if you could indicate your availability for
these remaining events as soon as possible and certainly by the
deadline.  We currently have 8 signed up for Nottingham, 6 for London
and 11 for each day of the Nationals.  Let's make it happen - we can get
to race events!

Many thanks all

Happy paddling!

Hayley
