Hi All
I've been asked for the address/postcode for the race site. It's the

Subject: Information and reminders for Henley this weekend
Hello All
For those signed up to race at Henley this weekend please note the
following:
* If at all possible please attend training tomorrow evening
* Please make sure you know who you are travelling with and what
time you are being picked up - I know that you have all arranged your
transport now so thank you
* Please arrive at the race site on Sunday for 8:00am.
* Please ensure you have a buoyancy aid as these must be worn for
the Henley race.
* Please make sure you wear our Execalibre race top - if you haven't
got one please arrange to borrow one.
* If you don't have a paddle of your own please make sure that you
have either arranged to borrow one or take one from the club -
* Jason will be sending out a separate email with the crew list and
details about race fees.
* I have booked The Giggling Squid for 1:00pm
* It is highly likely that we will have more rain this week,
particularly on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for a possible email
toward the end of the week if the river is too high/the flow too strong
for the race to take place - we will let you know as soon as possible if
it is cancelled but here's hoping it's not!
Keeep paddling!
Hayley

Hello All
Hopefully you will receive this email directly from me but I will get
Jason to send it out as well just in case, as I know several of you have
not received the previous two emails I've sent since being Chair.
Firstly, thank you to those members who attended the capsize drill this
morning, braving the cold water, and Jason for organising it and
providing hot drinks and cake afterwards. Jason will send out an email
summarising how it went in due course.
You will be pleased to hear that we have organised the hire of Henley's
racing 10 man boat for the next Henley Winter Series race, - so it's all
systems go for the 5th November. All those people who have signed up
(as of today) will be racing, with Tony kindly taking photos /video,
thank you Tony!
For those newer members going, especially our Henley race virgins, a
reminder that teams are set off at intervals with the aim of overtaking
the boats in front of you; each crew is set off about 30 seconds apart
(slowest first, fastest last).
We can get to and from Henley in a day, although some of you may prefer
to travel up the evening before. We usually aim to be there by about
8:30am for a 10:30amish race start but please look out for further
information regarding this.
We try to travel together where possible so if you need a lift please
make sure you talk to others and arrange this as soon as possible.
We will arrange to have lunch together in Henley after the race - if you
want to be included in this please let me know by this Wednesday so that
we can get it booked, thank you.
Between now and the 5th November please try to attend training as much
as possible, especially if you are going to Henley , but even if you're
not, then you can really help us prepare for the race.
Keeeep paddling!
Hayley
